Description

According to Musonius Rufus, “being good is the same thing as being a philosopher”, that is, a lover of wisdom. Does that mean that being good and being wise are the same thing? What then is the true nature of the good? Is it the fulfilment of our potential, the perfection of our own nature? In this session we will explore the Stoic’s understanding of the chief good and discuss whether or not we agree with them.
